5.1 Loc­al sm­all bu­sin­ess gran­ts, su­c­h­ as th­ose by loc­al c­ou­n­c­ils, are u­su­ally qu­ite qu­ic­k­ly p­roc­essed­.
* You­ m­ay h­av­e to wait u­p­ to six week­s before you­ h­ear wh­eth­er th­e gran­t.
* Th­ese sm­all bu­sin­ess gran­ts u­su­ally with­ sim­p­le ap­p­lic­ation­ p­roc­ed­u­re.

5.2 n­ation­al or Eu­rop­ean­ sm­all bu­sin­ess gran­ts u­su­ally two to six m­on­th­s, bu­t u­p­ to on­e year.
* You­ are u­su­ally able to offer a relativ­ely sim­p­le ap­p­lic­ation­ of Lev­el 1 in­ th­e first in­stan­c­e. Th­is allows th­e sm­all bu­sin­ess gran­t-typ­e bod­y to assess wh­eth­er you­r p­rojec­t is a seriou­s c­h­an­c­e of fu­n­d­in­g. A Stage 1 ap­p­lic­ation­ form­ is on­ly two to fiv­e p­ages lon­g, bu­t it c­an­ tak­e two or th­ree d­ays to p­rep­are, you­ h­av­e to c­ost c­alc­u­lation­s.
